A network of trails intended and built specifi cally for mountain bikes. It does not offer cableway or lifts, which means that all the climbing must be done by cyclists themselves. The trails are usually one -way paths or the so -called singletracks or singletrails (i.e. paths where two or more cyclists cannot ride next to one another) that are built to take maximum advantage of what the terrain has to offer, and to provide the rider with great experience and the highest safety possible. The trails often include components that are supposed to improve the cyclist’s experience (the fl ow): undulations, bulges, bends (can be banked, too), jumps or wooden features. However, trails are always built to be passable by all riders regardless of their skills – their diffi culty increases with the speed that you ride them.
